Spark Minda Foundation Bags ‘India CSR Award, 2017′

We are thrilled to announce that Spark Minda Foundation bagged the prestigious ‘India CSR Award, 2017′ in CSR Leadership Summit held on 26th May, 2017 at Hotel Sahara Star, Mumbai.

The Award was received under the CSR Community Initiative for recognizing good CSR Practices for ‘Saksham’: Care for Persons with Disability through ensuring sustainability & dignity to their lives.

‘Saksham’ is a CSR program initiated by Spark Minda to help Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). Under ‘Saksham’, the Group aims to provide accessible and assistive technologies, impart skill training through on job training, create inclusive workplace and ergonomics, train them for 5s and life skills and employ them.

From Spark Minda, the award was received by Mrs. Sarika Minda, Chairperson – Spark Minda Foundation. The Award was presented by Mr. Ramdas Athawale, Hon’ble Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India; Mr. Rusen Kumar, Founder – India CSR & Mr. Akbar Khan, Chairman & MD – Abraiz Petrochemicals Pvt. Ltd.

More than 250 organizations were contending for this award out of which only 50 best organizations qualified as winners. Some of these renowned organizations included: Aditya Birla Group, Benetton India Pvt. Ltd., Dell, Essar, Jindal Steel and Power Ltd., JSW, JK Lakshmi, Mahindra and Mahindra, Microsoft, Panasonic and the like.
